Camping!!

During the Spring Break weekend we went camping with my sister Michon and my brother Casey and their families. We decided to stay close and went up past Gunlock Reservoir. It is such a great spot number one because it's so close and I do NOT travel well, and because it's pretty secluded. It was nice, we hardly saw anyone the whole weekend and had most of the trails all to ourselves.
We decided to leave Thursday afternoon and not come back until Sunday. So we packed up the little trailer and headed on our way with Kaden and Michon. We made it almost all of the way there until the truck decided it couldn't go anymore! The dang thing overheated. Camp was honestly like 40 feet away! So we sat there for a bit while it cooled off. We mostly just hung out around camp that day and ate dinner.
We went out for a long four wheeler ride on Friday just exploring. Little Macey insisted on riding with Daddy on the four wheeler and was so upset when I told her that she had to ride the way back with Casey. I ended up giving her my glasses to use, the poor thing had dirt and tears running all over her face. Ashlee rode with Casey in the tracker and went for a "really bumpy ride"! She loved every minute of it. Total Daddy's girls! Joe is completely in his element being outside riding his four wheeler. I think he'd do it every day if he could. Me on the other hand, I like it.....but in doses. I did end up having a blast though. I look forward to doing it a lot more this summer.

We went to see this cabin that Braydon had told us was "really scary".....um yeah. I suppose if it was dark, then it might be a little scary. I personally thought it was kind of cool looking. I definitely wouldn't want to sleep in it though! It had a cool little old stove inside and a neat little stream that ran right in front. The kids had a blast & Michon and I got to go exploring with our cameras.

Saturday ended up being cold and windy , so we pretty much just hung out in the trailers all day. Sunday it was still cold so we played games in the trailer and I assaulted poor Karver with my camera. He's got to be getting used to it by now, right?

Playing games

Just ignore the nasty face....we're camping! She's still a cutie patutie!

I don't think he was "feeling" the whole picture thing

Overall, it was a fun weekend and we plan to do it again soon. Hopefully it's nicer weather next time though.
