Mother's Day 2011

We had an awesome day this year. It was not only Mothers day, but also my 31st Birthday. I got to sleep in & when I got up, Joe and the girls greeted me with breakfast, flowers, balloons and cards. The girls have been excited all week about it. They all went really out of their way to make me feel special. I got hugs from the girls a million times that day. They're such sweethearts. Poor Joe let me have my way all day too!

We went over to the Watson's for lunch and to wish Carol a Happy Mothers Day. Joe's Aunt Val made some awesome burgers and potato salad, it was yummy! I also got to see our newest sweet little niece! She's only 7 days old and so tiny and cute! I forgot what it was like to hold a baby that small. I know Karver is only 3 months, but lets face it....boys just feel different. She's so petite. I took lots and lots of pictures but will wait to post them. Her mommy & daddy haven't had any time to post yet, and want to be the first.

We then went home and had dinner with my family and celebrated my birthday. The guys were nice enough to fix a delicious dinner. Roast and dutch oven potatoes! Yum! My mom also made me a cake & we had Ice cream.

Afterwards, us girls made everyone go outside for pictures. I know everyone hates it, but I'm so glad that we did it. It's rare that we get pictures of us all together.

All in all, we had a pretty decent day! I love our families and I'm so glad that we get to see them so often. I also want to wish both of our moms a Happy Mothers Day! We love you both and appreciate everything that you do for us. Thanks for being great examples for us. I love being a mom and am so grateful for my two beautiful girls. I can't think of anything better than being a mom.
