Camping

We normally try to camp as much as we possibly can in the Summer, now that the girls are in school. This year, we've managed to once. Joe normally works during the week, so it left our weekends open. This time he is working weekends so it has kind of put a cramp on our camping with everyone else.

So....he decided to just take some work off and we were going no matter what! We made plans with the family and we all headed up to Kaden's property Friday afternoon. Now, in all of Joe and I's married life, we have stayed in a tent once. I know, I'm a little pampered. Well, since we sold our trailer and didn't want to take the truck to pull Carol & Terry's up to use, we decided to tent it. I was not very excited about it but the girls were beyond excited to stay in a tent all by themselves! It actually wasn't too bad and we all ended up enjoying ourselves. It wasn't even that hot.

Sarah and Marky came up Saturday morning and then Casey and his boys and us headed up to Cedar mountain to explore Mammoth caves. It was fun but muddy. I pooped out after the first one and sat out the rest. There's no way I'm crawling on my hands and knees through a dark cave. No thank you. The girls loved it though. We got back in time to have cake for Braydon and Caysons birthdays before my Mom and Dad headed home.

All packed up and ready to go. Don't let Ashlee's face fool you, she was excited. So much so, that she told me she couldn't sleep the night before.
Crazy to think that we were going for three days but looks like we packed for a week!

This crazy kid thought he was going to drive us there!

 Getting ready for the caves.

Saturday night Casey came over and asked if anyone wanted to be in on a shooting competition. Devyn had gotten a new BB gun and we were going to see who could get the closest grouping out of three shots. I'm all over that! I was the only girl out of all of the men in camp and guess who won? Ha! Me! I won a whole $1 bill! Here's my proof!

On our way home Sunday we all (Us, Kaden & Crystal) decided to stop by Old Iron Town to check it out. I snapped a few pictures and then we were off,  headed to home to take some nice hot showers! I loved every minute of camping, besides the freakishly large beetles that like to come out and play at night while we are sitting around the camp fire. I hope we get to go again soon!
